....and it was awesome, one of the best roads I have experienced. Since arriving in Ireland on Thursday the weather has been pretty naff. Did the Wild Atlantic Way from Galway to Dingle yesterday in high winds, horizontal rain and fog over the moutntains but today was epic. Fabulous scenery and huge fun on the twisty N72. Now in the CastleRosse hotel in Killarney looking forward to a Satruday night in town and some Guiness, even Her Ladyship has been on the black stuff for the first time ever and she loves it.

Enjoy. Gods own country for sure. I will be there at the end of the month and first week in Aug.:thumb2

We did the Beara and Kerry peninsular Around four weeks ago. Like you said, Stunning scenery and excellent roads. The weather was superb which was obviously a big plus. Can't wait to go again. :aidan

Myself & a comrade are hoping to ride the WAW from Malin Head to Galway with stop in Westport for Easter weekend next year.

There's a series on ITV at the moment called Wild Ireland presented by Christine Bleakley, following the Wild Atlantic Way, which is worth a watch on the player thingy, but means it's bound to be more popular over there this year...

Thinking about doing this in August can I ask did you pre book accommodation or just rock up

I emailed the campsites but they said just turn up. Ferry is from Holyhead, the fast one, with club lounge seats it was £160 return.

Well done Snooty, brilliant isn't it. If you are stuck for remote spots to visit check out Irish Photo Rally, some very odd places there.
In the meantime, keep yer wan on the black stuff, go to small seedy pubs and listen to all the sh.te talk and after one or two you'll be able to talk as much s...e as everyone else.
And enjoy!
