He's up tp his eyeballs in work and keeps forgetting that he hasn't finished the last few bits of fabrication on my bike."I'll do your bike next" has been heard a few too many times. I put the engine in 3 years ago and have been waiting ever since. Good job I've got other toys to play with. I got really narked whan he built an engine for a fellow tosser when the time spent on that should've been spent working on mine.Right now I have an eye wateringly expensive pile of scrap in my garage that I can't use. I have found someone else who will complete the work, BUT, I wanted the full Moorespeed experience and I have regarded Richie as a friend, so wanted to stay loyal.

If it makes you feel any better: I have been waiting on a monolever extension now for two years - and he no longer picks up my calls when I phone him about it
The engine he built though - its awesome
Your making me nervous now guys. I need to get some heads off to richie for some gas flowing and valve work. The last ones he did were turned around in a week.
Rob,you'll proably be ok with that, my work is time consuming and not very lucrative for him,so as he is pressed for time he'll do stuff that is easy and quick to do.Pete, I'm not having a go at you, it's Richie's decision to take on and complete new stuff before he's finished stuff he's already agreed to do.

That bike looks fine as it is!
I'm still sorting the insurance and tax out so have only had a quick test ride when I first looked at it and sneaky ride up and down my road when I got it home...
Once warm (and I remembered it has fuel taps
) it seems to tick over so smoothly, it's truly remarkable. On the goes, to my untrained eye, it pulls really well and again, super smooth. With the twin discs, it stops okay - bearing in mind a 12GSA is my daily ride. Still getting used to the way the back end drops when you shut off quickly. Having the handle bars swept back is also pretty weird to me, along with such a small amount of room between the cylinder head and brake lever...
All in all, it feels great - if I can get the tax sorted, am hoping to ride it to work tomorrow... a nice 100 mile round trip. That should tell me a lot more

First ride out on mine I kicked the float bowl off... When you hear the sound of an out if tune cow bell bouncing down the road and it starts to run on one cylinder you'll know you've done the same. Before you dash to pick it up, shut of the fuel
The 2nd time it happened was during the Dawn to Dusk and in a muddy spot so it was quickly covered by passing bikes and I had to prob around to find it - I've now got neat little cable leases as losing one in the middle of no where would not be fun.

Found time to get in around 100 miles on the little airhead this weekend - I say little because it looks so damn small compared to the HP and GSA!
Despite how small it is, the ergonomics feel pretty good - the swept back bars being surprising comfortable while seated. The engine pulls amazing well, and is smooth and quiet. It's light and flickable in the twisties. And the brakes almost work well
Couple things that are weird/need fixing:
Suspension - some bumps in the road seemed to hit very hard on the rear of the bike... like teeth shatteringly so, but not on every bump. Is this a flaw in the shock, the set up, or simply how these monos handle?
Footpegs - they're solid!! Apart from the fact I had been thinking about swapping them for enduro style pegs, them not folding doesn't feel right to me, for off road or cornering. Are they the first thing to touch when leaning?
All in all, enjoying the new riding experience. Have to decide when to start modding it...

Id ditch the stock clocks for starters....
