I want to sound as big as a lorry and preferably just like one.
Can anyone recommend me a horn?!
I see the Stebel MX advertised but I have no idea which one sounds the meatiest and loudest...

Any help would be appreciated. :beerjug:

I've got the Stebel Nautilus and it works for me. :thumb

A word or two of advice though. DON'T let the kids play with the switches when it's still in the shed, and be prepared to watch people jump when you take it for its MOT. :D

The Stebel Nautilus won't last forever, I've had two fail.
I don't really consider an after market horn as a consumable item but as said above it's great for scaring kids..

Very useful when being hassled by kids in Morocco....it goes like this.....
"Hé les enfants, être très calme et ont un peu où le petit oiseau vie."

When they all gather their heads under the front of the bike give the little shits a good blast and watch them run:green gri

Wire via a relay if you're going to change your horn - I didn't the first time and cooked the horn cable...

Mike

Relay ?

You say wire via a relay, is that an existing one or a new relay ? hows this done and what sort of relay ? Thanks

To put it simply, as it is simple.
New relay - Power to relay, relay power to horn. Horn switch to relay.

The only time my horn is sounded is for the MOT ... otherwise I never use it :nenau

Hmmmm, mine has just started to sound asthmatic. So failure may be imminent :blast . I'm looking for a stebel supplier that can sell me a stebel brio :clap:clap.

My nautilus has siezed twice :blast they come appart reasonably easaly. dont strip the compressor head just oil it wd40 parafin/ diesel etc. and turn it with pliers both ways untill it seems free. then when working again give it a squirt of oil in its air intake occasionally :thumb2

wonder if some one can find the space for this one http://www.stebel.it/stebel2009/products.asp?IDserie=9&uso=1&tipologia=musicale

Have you tried e-mailing Stebel direct to ask them for the name and phone number of a supplier?

I previously had the Magnum horn on my old GS which I always thought sounded loud but flat. So I've just fitted a Nautilus to my new GS. and man is that thing < L O U D !

Sorted. :clap
