I'm getting our bikes ready this week and will probably do something similar before go and camp somewhere where Ange can't use a hair dryer

Yep had a great wk end, although Bakes slopped of early said his boots had holes in them and did not want to get wet feet!

At least 20% of which was done with the bikes up to their tits in water I filled my boots at about 11 then emptied them when I got home at 7. Great laugh though.

To all the lucky people on this trip just had email from shipping company to say that the container is ready and waiting to load our bikes in the morning.

When they lift that crate up, it's going to have a big bulge in the bottom where my bike is Weighs a flippin ton! I'm excited/scared shitless/apprehensive/looking forward to it in about equal measure.

I'd be a lot happier riding that If she wants to swap just let me know. I'm afraid the weight of a GS might push through the earths crust and leave me desperately trying to outrun a erupting lava flow....

You'll be fine, I used my GS last time there and it was heavily loaded ......... wife took her Dakar (which wasn't so heavily loaded).
