Iceland adventure 2017

Good review of the day, great scenery yet again and I guess its all a new learning experience for you by the sound of it. btw how cold was the water?

Nice one Rupert! I'd forgotten about that short but steep and slightly sandy descent. I thought the big bike might have gone down there without me on board, but I used my arse to pucker me onto the seat! I now know why it took you so long to get your kit squared each night - you were blathering to your camera! I'm glad you did though.

Good luck to everyone going on "Trip 2" tomorrow. Hope the weather is kind and that you enjoy it as much as I did! 🇮🇸

The Wales shake down trip was the closest I'd come to this sort of thing. I didn't have the suspension on my bike set up properly for the extra weight - some mid-trip tuning was necessary - so the bike wasn't handling quite how I expected at speed. Never completely got rid of the high speed wobble, though.

Never noticed the water temperature - much more concerned about drowning the bike!

Still excellent looking roads all the same and I hope your feeling more confortable with the suspension now.
