Has anyone tried Icom's new digital 2-way radios?

The agent here can get them for around £135 which is a lot less than UK prices and euro approved.

Was at Intaride recently, and asked if they had a digital PMR ready to take over from their well regarded Wintec A80, especially as it might integrate better with their digital box of tricks.

David said that while you will get a little interference or crackle on the present analogue radio as you speed past trees/ buildings, the digital system is an "all or nothing" receptionl, and as yet, does not lend itself to bike to bike. OK for hand held use in building site.
