Ideas on price

Morning all,

With a heavy heart I may need to sell my GSA due the ongoing furlough and long term employment prospects. Wondered if anyone on here could help and give a sensible idea on price please.

She’s a 2008 GSA, with full aluminium luggage, Touratech tank bag, Touratech screen deflector, good tyres, replacement ESA shock, TPS fully functional, final drive bearing replaced.

Two sets of seats, standard GS and Adventure ones, tank bag lock ring, later style mirrors( originals included), 78K and a full SH most of which if not all is BMW, I last had her serviced by BMW in February this year prior to a North European tour. All original hand books and keys ( including small plastic emergency key)

Any advice would be very much appreciated, I know she’s highish miles but runs beautifully, just done 260 miles round the Yorkshire Dales on her today and rode like a dream. I will try to post some pictures when I can get to a PC.

That’s a shame Rockeye, but I understand being in a similar situation....on furlough and not knowing what the future may bring...

I reckon your bike has got to be worth somewhere between £4K to £5k, maybe? All the best.

I'll prollly get shot down, but..

Realistically i would doubt you would see more than 5-6k tops on a private sale

A main dealer probably wouldnt touch it on PX - an indy dealer will go low book 3-4k ish

Private sale will give you a better return , but the trouble now is there are a lot out there at the moment

LC's are now down at the 6.5k mark for a 2013, and thats indy dealer

Unfortunately I think Santa is about right. Matches my thinking and observations... 2.5yrs ago a TC 3yrs younger with all the luggage and add-ons, in v good nick was roughly £7.5k.

Sorry for that. But better to have a heads up. Saying all that, you could just post it for the upper end of what you want and wait for a buyer...

I have just bought the same bike 2008 12k miles fish, absolutely mint, seargent seats,full bmw luggage. I bought private and paid £6k I wanted to pay £5,500 but couldn't get him down however the bike is right and I was happy. I agree with the above I paid a bit more than I wanted for the low miles and exceptional condition. i bought it 2 months ago hope it helps

Its only a guess on my part but with that mileage its got to be about £4000 to £4500.

Thanks for all the feedback and comments chaps, 4-5K sounds reasonable, I’m not greedy but would just want a fair price for her.
