if you were shopping

Haven't we done this already? Or maybe it was over on Adv Rider.....

All things being equal, the one on the left.

BUT....and it's a big one, I assume that these would attach via the same bosses on the heads that the BMW plastic guards and the Touratech ones attach to. I've got the Touratech ones and since the heads and the threads in the heads are as soft as shite, I think that any impact is just going to bugger up the mounting points on the heads......:nenau

I'm inclined to think that the way to go is carbon fibre rocker cover covers with titanium sliders on the bits that are likely to touch down first, a la Boxer Cup bikes.

neither - i've got an old shitter. (1100)

as opposed to an ancient old shitter ( airhead)

so - are you going to make them soft ally - so they deform and can be bent back into shape ?

or tough so that they hold there shape and transfer the force into the mounting threads ?

what grade material options are you looking at ?

i wouldn't buy either either! Get the Heppco and Bekker bars- that way you can still access your spark plug covers- also i wouldn't want caja shael written anywhere on my bike :spitfire

The Attachment is really no big deal to remove. if you were lookin to
get into the plugs it would be for a service and six more fasteners is
neither here or there . Only my thought on it. But it is a consideration.

I can understand that you may not want to have a brand on your
accessiories .

But ,,, Whats with the :spitfire

the :spitfire is jus a silly face... in the context i used it, it was probably saying something like 'oh no i dont want saja cahel written on my bright green guards..." in a vigilant kinda way- I will most likely end up buying some now i have gone into this--- how much are they?

' bigger the better, but make sure that they have the "skid-a-bility" of the 1200Adv ones :thumb2

(don't ask why :( )

Al :D

I dont know what a run of them will cost.

They will be anodised , what ever the most suitable colour is

You'd imagine that they would have to be competitive with the Touratech ones in order to sell.

You would , wouldnt you.

I remeber i read the "Arai" story , and for Mr Arai
He knew he was getting it right , when "Bell " Customers
were putting "Arai" Stickers on "Bell Helmets"

Black anodising is cheapest and most common ( actually dark dark blue )

Clear anodising is next cheapest - but shows up existing surface markings.

Soft decorative anodising is cheapest - but will corrode in salty environments after about a year or so.

Hard anodising is about twice the price - but lasts for years
