If you were to describe

Thread diameter (OD) by thread pitch.

measure the diameter - lets say 16mm

measure the pitch - say 1.5mm

thread is M16 x 1.5

( don't know what it actually is but you get the idea )

The lamda probe has this description on the micro fiche thingy:

LSH25,950MM KA

Doesn't look like a thread size to me!

Use a Vernier caliper to measure the outside diameter of the sensor.

Use a Thread Pitch Gauge to measure the pitch - couple of ££ from a tool shop, incredibly useful & takes up no space. Every DIY mechanic should have one.

Wot is a thread pattern - something on a duvet, maybe?

Threads are specified by O.D. , thread flank angle, pitch (distance between adjacent peaks), hand (usually right hand meaning clockwise to tighten).
Metric threads have 60 degree angle.
Can be metric fine or metric coarse.

You need to measure the diameter and the distance from one peak to the next and then you can describe it yourself.
