Heeeeelp!!!
When i turn on the ignition (gs1200 2005), there is a delay before the computer lights up, sometimes 10 sec - 40 sec, as sometimes there is no problem, the workshop has had the bike on 3 occasions, and have replaced most of the wiring and the antena, still no joy, at present it is in my garage ... :banghead:
Any suggestions?? :nenau

My F800GS had similar problems at 18months old. On switching on there would be a delay of 5 to 10 seconds before the instruments registered. The ignition never cut out while riding and the bike never failed to start. It was intermittent and took several trips to the dealer before they kept it in a few days to keep switching on until it occurred.
The result was a new ignition switch lower? I think the upper part is the mechanical lock and the lower (item 2) has all the contacts.

Yep
As said above New ignition switch on bottom of barrel sorted mine. Easy to do and it cost me about £80.00 or so for switch..
Seems to be becoming a common problem lately.

It can also fail in the always power on mode as well, so you can start the bike up, and take the key out, and the bikes' engine continues to run
