Had this lying about in the garage, bought for a couple of quid. A couple of fire dragons & a box of matches & popped into a Tesco food bag, & into the rucksac.

Headed off to the woods to play

A cold & wet morning, but found a suitable spot beside a mountain stream & set it up

Enough area at the base to hold the burning fuel. Brought a couple of sticks to add.
20250105_103042.jpg Maybe too many holes on the side, but guess you could block some off the lower oneswith some tin foil.

So, cheap & compact & a nice bit of heat on a cold damp morning. You could also feed it with local dry sticks. Reckon you could use it to boil a brew. Will see if its up to the job next time when the weather is less miserable.

So, eventually got the opportunity to use this again today.
I have slipped in a cut down used tin (condensed milk) which just happened to fit in nicely.

It all fits nicely into my cooking cup

So, one fire dragon to boil the water. Then prepped my noodles & then another fire dragon to brew my coffee & job done

Popped down to check out the waterfall, and land my 1st Brown Trout of the season

So the next time I use it, I will try some dry sticks & see how it preforms for prepping noodles & coffee

Get yourself a bag of kindling from a garage or supermarket. Chop it up into smaller bits and experiment with different quantities to find how much you need for a brew, noodles, pan of hot water etc…..
That way you have a bag of prepared nice dried wood for the next outing. :thumb2 Then get some cotton wool to use as a fire starter. Job done. :thumb2
