So here's what my 1200 has ended up like after I've fiddled about with the cosmetics and add ons a bit. Its not very different but subtly so, I think. I've not carried out any performance mods, the bikes pokey enough for me and I'm happy with the sound etc.
Theres a few TT bits like the beak thing, a cockpit cover plate and clear LED rear light. The indy's have chromed bulbs which I've given the info to Nippy to try and procure as mine came from Germany. The tank panels were sparyed to match the frame (I wanted them to match the metal tank sides but the spray shop guy reckoned they would end up looking almost a matt-ish white so persuaded me to og with the frame clour...Im still not sure. Too subtle a change perhaps). There mesh infils in the holes. I bought mine from BoxerDesigns and its wasnt worth it. They were little better than some I had knocked up myself and still needed messing with a glue gun to attach them. The screen is a home cut inspired by the Joker (thanks!) and others. It was hard to get a good clean edge so I trimmed it with Oxford screen trim. I'd have rathered not, but its ok.
I havent found a light protector yet that suits, the TT one looked pants with the cut screen and the mesh one sticks out too far IMO. You cant really see but there's a Reynos grill in there sprayed black. I may take the grab rail off but its handy for manhadling the bike and I attach a strap of my little Kriega waterproof pack to it so its useful. When they get bashed the blue bits are going silver too.
And the main thing is I love riding it, its great on roads however shitty and however rough the surface (roads) gets I can just go on, and in town it rides like a motard. Very happy
