well after a two year absence from the 1150 in now back :JB

as much as the tiger 955 was a great bike it just wasnt for me so it was sold after i was presented with an 1150GS for a very reasonable price:cool:

it has that certain crustiness of a bike that has stood and not been loved for some time;) but beneath beats a solid heart :D

the shock were Very tired so that was the most important job to be done first so it was decided after much negotiation with the petticoat Government that i would be allowed to make this investment .

now Nitron UK suspension specialists have worked with RuggedRoads to develop a shock for the africa twin that really is a stunning piece of kit:cool:

and they have been applying the same principle's to the shocks for the GS :thumb2

so as soon as they arrived the spanners were out :D

:drool:drool

out with the old :hammer

in with the new:D

on to the rear :hammer

ive put about 350miles on since fitting them and the difference is amazing the bike feels tight and composed and turns so much sweeter :cool::cool:

had a day of work yesterday and went through valve clearances , plugs filters oils etc balanced the throttle bodies , remus Y-peice and Genesis can i had from the last bike as well :D and its now running really sweetly

when i sold my GSA i kept hold of a few bits as i was sure it would be a matter of time before i was back on a GS:cool:

so the next job is to tidy up the fork legs and yokes and fit my fatbar kit on:thumb2

source some luggage , over time tidy bits up to get it back up to scratch

im one very happy bunny :JB:JB:JB:JB:JB

oh and these BAD BOYS returned from the powder coaters yesterday :green gri:green gri:green gri:green gri:green gri:green gri:green gri

About bloody time eh mate :clap

Will get those bits off to you in the post tomorrow :thumby:

Enjoy :D

I'm back

Surely you never really went away!!:D Anyway smart looking bike, liking the suspension, how much was that (you can PM if you like!!) I'm contemplating a few tidying bits on mine.Catch up for a beer sometime:beerjug: John B

for sure it will be painted but that will have to wait till winter im having to much fun being back on a GS :)

over the next week or so clean paint fork bottoms , yokes etc and fit my fatbar kit to it , got some tobinators and an ADV screen to put on so i can get my satnav back up high :bounce1

spoked wheels will be refurbed at some point and fitted with
TKCs or some such , best of both worlds :thumb source some luggage pay you a visit for some of your lights :D
get then fecking Horrid seat sorted too , fettling fever :JB:JB:JB

Having seen the wheels, i must say they look quite smart and are not quite as Gay:D and sparly as the pictures would have you think.

A black GS is the best, what bike are the mag wheels from, imagining mine looking like that now, are any mods required or straight swap..
