Just spent a splendid morning with Rydale's 1200 demonstrator. What a fab bike, so light and so much power. Bit of a pig to look at from the front but that's never bothered me in the past.

ADV version in 2007 I reckon. Saving starts here.

Here at Talybont-on-Usk.

Very nice piccies... (and very nice bike)... I really hate the office now... :(

Glad you enjoyed yourself!

I made the same mistake as retroman took the rydale gs1200 for a test ride less than a week later I picked up a cancelled order, loving every minute of it.

Not sure I get your meaning. Does this mean your going to wait for 2 years to get the adv. version or buy the 'standard' now and start saving for the trade in in 2007?........or something completely different :D

ADV

Mister G, I'm speculating at the mo. Production of the 1150ADV is due to finish in 2007 (so I'm told), so like a lot of people on this board I'm waiting for the R1200GS ADV to emerge ... making assumptions here I know.

My trusty 1150 is only just run in at 25k so I can wait.

BTW the seat on the new bike is superb. 150 miles without any ache whatsoever.

So true , so true

Retroman,
I know exactly what you mean and i'm in the same boat(ish) in the sense that the ideal would be the 'uberkinde' of both generations i.e. the 1200adv.
Im on an entirely inappropriate (although great in its own right) Jap bike at the mo and two years is gonna be a long wait.
For what it's worth ide probably enjoy my 1150 until it comes out if I were you.
I ,on the otherhand , will have take a couple of hefty whacks of depreciation over the next couple of years if i'm not to hang my boots up in the meantime.
Great shots by the way, inspiring to someone firmly bunkered in the heart of the big smoke,
