I'm off. Thanks to all.

That bike so needs an underslung exhaust. Can you imagine hopw good the rear would lok withoutthe silencers?

Sadly there is no room for one so it has those extremely grotesque siamese cans.

I bet it's a riot to hustle:thumb2

Ooooh yeaaa, 162hp and a sound like you would'nt believe from OEM exhausts.:green gri

Hi,dont post much,but here's 1 more.
I tried a Diavel from Manchester Ducati a few months back and was very impressed, good power, good sound, but a little restrictive in the riding position for me..im a bit long in the leg.

Bought a new GSA instead and after 850 miles just about getting to trust its slight lack of feedback..been used to KTM V-twins for the last 5 years.
Been out to Knott End on Sea and then up through Bowland today, weather was mostly shite but cant think of another bike i would rather have been on.

I count myself very lucky to have have both a GSA and a Carbon Black Diavel.

After test riding the Diavel, i wanted one sooooo badly. But i just couldn't part with my GSA. So i part-ex'd my S1000RR instead.

Sounds ideal, there are many great bikes that can't get you much further than the next postcode, and with sportsbikes being so hard to use due to lack of compatible roads combined with the chances of being locked up when you do find a suitable road.

I must admit this weird looking Ducati would be on my test bike list if I could afford more than one bike, but could never be my only bike as I can't see it getting two people to the Alps and back.

Yes, the S1000RR made absolutely NO sense on UK roads. I was riding waaaay to fast, because it only really worked at 120mph+ speeds (it was the ultimate track day tool though).

The Diavel gives me the same kind of rush, but at less licence destroying speeds.

I could never go two-up touring on it though. unless someone else carried all the luggage, ;) or i UPS'd it to the destination :augie

I love my GSA though, and in 20k miles, i've thrown just about everything at it. From off-roading to continental two-up touring in all weather conditions.
And its totally reliable and hasn't missed a beat. :bow
