As the latest scientific research into life at the equator after gs destruction tests we visited the equator yesterday in equador and attempted to
ascertain that the water went down the plug hole in the opposite direction to england, now the problem is which way does it go at home?. No one here can remember!, so if any one is still redaing this crap please post note and say which way it is in england. We checked the equator with a compass and it does go the right way so that is one problem solved.
many thanks for your assistance in this matter, this from an internet cafe in
quito Equador so will not be on for a bit (can hear the sigh of relief from here!) All helpful comment s apreciated;

I thought it was Clockwise in the northern hemisphere, Anticlockwise in the southern hemisphere, BUT there
should be no swirl at the Equator ????:nenau

All Geography teachers are friggin liars !

Right I've just spent 20 minute pouring water into the spark plug holes on my bike. I can't tell which way round it went, but my bike won't start now. Is it because I'm in the northern hemisphere? I guess I could get the bike shipped south - perhaps if I speak to BMW recovery nicely?
anyway there is a full moon tonight, so I think that reverses the spin?

Thanks for clarifying that Jimbo,:thumb2 I retract my previous statement about Geography teachers. :hack

PS. Dave, you surely weren't expecting an intelligent response. :green gri

problem resolved

Well, now truth can be revealed, the water does go anti clock wise in the the southerm hemisphere extensive tests have revealed this to be he case
interested to know if the engine in queston was a twin or single plug version?.
This scirntifice paper is being written on a key board with most of the letters missing so has taken a long time but I´m sure you will appreciate the findings.
I do apriciate your in put into this research and my efforts to bring this site to a new low!.
We have now fitted dunlop tyres that look similar to tournces, they handle
very well footpegs being ground regelary, seem to have a thinner tread pattern
though all we can get out here am now in Chicalo in peru, place looks like
bagdhad with out the war! just as dangerous traffic is manic no one stops at road junctions and tuc tucs are<about as fast as a milk float, bald tyres and
no brakes (and not made by bmw!).
Keep the rubber sid down

Spooky

Just reading this thread and watching Brainiacs on TV. They are asking the same question. They have just said that it depends more on the shape of the sink and speed of water flow than where you are in the world. Showed film of sinks around the world and it varied between clockwise and anti-clockwise all over the place!
