immobiliser & alarm

Hi Chaps

I Have an 1100gs which has a Spyball Patriot AM/8510 GB immobiliser & alarm fitted by the previous owner, anyway after 6 years of expecting it to f$%^ up, it now has.

What i would like to know is how easy is it to remove one of these peices of crap and if anyone knows, could they tell me how to.

I have done a web search, where other folks just say you cut the wires, surely it is not that easy.

it's usually straightforward to remove alarms/immobs.

But it all really really depends how it's been fitted in the first place.

Follow the wires from the unit, cut them out, and rejoin the link where you've cut it out.
