Immobiliser on the blink?

2010 twin cam. I've had a couple of instances recently where I turn the ignition key to on but the dash stays blank and there's no sound of the fuel pump priming. Both times, I've turned the key to off and then when I turn it to on again the bike has come to life. No warning lights on the dash so I'm wondering whether this is the ring antenna going on the blink in which case I was thinking to fit a new one before it lets me down somewhere / sometime inconvenient.

Just checking if anyone else has had these symptoms and resolved it with a new ring antenna before I spend out on one.

I'd agree with the above post.
If nothing at all comes on it'll be that.
It'll only get worse. I think mine was about £80.00 about 10 years ago. I'm sure it's probably a bit more than that now. Easy to replace.

You may be very lucky and have an unpotted unit, its just a micro switch inside

Plenty of contact cleaner and you may be lucky ,,

The replacement unit i got, as a precaution was potted, so no easy fix

No joy with the contact cleaner but worth a try, thanks! Replacement ignition switch is the part number shown above, which was 82 squid including the vodka.
