Hi All
Another question if I may.
On the latest M8 bikes, are the fasteners imperial AF or a mixture of AF and metric ? Is it the case where say the allens are one type and the hex head bolts another or is there some sort of rule of thumb so to speak ? Experiences on previous Harleys have shown some metric fasteners on Brakes, forks, starter motor, axle nuts and others, yet frame and engine use imperial so just wondered if things have changed since my last Hog.

Thanks

I have a mixture on mine and not sure why they do that.

a mixture.....

Forks are Showa, brakes are Brembo - other bits come from Mexico and it's lovingly bolted together in Thailand..... enjoy the mash up!!

It’s pretty much as per your first post.

A mixture….. why for gawds sake did they do that?

Luckily, I have metric, imperial, and whitworth spanner’s , sockets, and Allen keys, due to having an old Brit bike in the garage as well as the Harley, and the old airhead.
Got a good selection of hammers too……!

I pity anyone who has only ever had metric tools if they buy a Harley.
