I am trying to import a route from My Route App to the new BMW Navigator

Using the TomTom map so should be ok there.
converting to GPX 1.1.

Trying to export but will not do it - even though I can see the unit in File explorer.

So copied file across

When import file it starts from my home address even though the route is from Santander to first hotel

Why does it start in southampton - go down through France and then continue with my route.

any advice please

I would guess that the default setting or a choice (if there is a choice) has been selected, whereby the route is: “Start from my current location” or some such. That assumes your current location is indeed your home.

It does say - From start point - but I cannot see where I have put my home location as the start point

and the only other choice is Direct route - which gives the same

I have probably set something as a default but just cannot find where to alter it

I may just do a factory reset and see what happens.

Can I ask if you resolved this?

I guess the dumb machine always calculates a ‘fill in’ from where you are standing (at home in the opening post’s example) to the route you have created. Stand in Paris or Budapest, and it’ll probably create you are route from there, too.

What is it you are trying to do? Review the route, without running it?

Yes that is exactly what it seems to do
