I have purchased some ear plugs specially moulded for my ears and they have speakers in built to them. I wish to attach them to my autocom pro avi 300.

I think the part i need is the 1887/1188 but there sems to be a 7 pine plug coming out of the box as well as a jack socket. Can this be cut off or removed or does it have to dangle around , or am i missing something

That's the lead that replaces your original between unit and helmet, just plug the in-ears into the jack socket..

Ring Autocom and ask for part number 2091 - much neater than the box - they used to charge about £12 - may not be on their website at the moment

so i will still need the autocom plug from the helmet to the box for the speaking part? does anyone have apicture of one of these set ups

Part 2091 has a 3.5mm socket hanging down just below your helmet rim - the 3.5mm plug from your in ear speaker goes directly into this

Its not an officially stocked part as yet but I could get one built up for you like Kritous's if you like oly. If so if you PM I will let you know the ins and outs of getting it sorted for you.

Are you able to get a in ear part that enables you to plug in the mic, the BGN and a set of in ears without having the helmet speakers?

If this is possible how much are they?

Cheers Tom

Sorry meant Background Noise Sensor.

Cheers Tom

In that case Headset Services can supply the lead. You just unplug and remove the speakers from the helmet harness and plug the new lead in (inside the helmet). The microphone and sensor wiring is untouched.

If you look at Kritou's photo you will see this lead coming out. Just plug your in-ear speakers into this. :thumb2
