2000 1150GS 25'000 miles. Just changed the sprockets, chip and Y pipe. It still has the OEM muffler, air filter and snorkel. Nice to ride but now, after 700 highway miles, the air filter housing leaks a little oil.
I'm wondering why the air filter housing looks to be under pressure. Anybody had that? Should I worry about? Or just find a better plugging cat code?

Looks like you’ve overfilled it and it’s being dumped from the engine breather in to the air box. There is a small rubber valve in the bottom where it can seep out but most gets ingested and burned off.

It was the first thing I thought about, but no, oil level is under it's maximum level.

Id see if it kept happening if it's not excessive... Sometimes a simple prob gets more complicated by trying to fix it... It you can reach the bungalow/ valve you'll soon know by removing it...

Not to ask silly questions but have you used any anti corrosion spray I.e. acf 50, xcp etc. looks like a run of that to me…

I've done a 700m round trip, 75% highway. Cleaned it half way and had the same result back home

There is an air box drain plug … is it loose ?
No and and it's a little far from the marks on the gearbox.

Photo is from another bike.

After 700 miles almost highway, new air filter is clean and it doesn't look too greasy in the air box filter.

Thanks for your thoughts and extraball for MotorCammy. I believe it's because I sprayed a lot of WD40, the excess ran under the air filter housing and ran down the side of the gearbox as I drove.
