I read here recently of an independent BMW service agent in Wales, South Wales I recall. I think it was someone who used to work for a main dealer then went off on his own.

Mike has serviced my bike a number of times. Initially he was an employee of a BMW dealer. Latterly he is self employed. The work has been very good on all occasions.

The last service, at 36k, cost £152.80 in Mike's own workshop.

The previous services at 30k and 24k cost £130 & £250. These were BMW dealer prices.

He did the annual service/18000 mile combined service for me 3 months ago. He also fitted a pair of conti road attacks. I can't find the receipt at the mo, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I intend to continue having my bike serviced by him, and would happily recommend him to others.

Yes I can confirm - Mike is a top guy and charges reasonable prices for service and tyres. I had my annual service and a 24,000 service plus a new rear tyre (he had a BT502 - just waiting to be purchased) all for around £400. He gives a bit of a discount and makes a nice cup of tea - is busy and realisitic about what needs to be done.

know about the GS is'nt worth knowing. Go to Mikes you won't go wrong. Tell him Al sent

I picked my bike up from Mike today I had a bill of £1680, he worked wonders for me I can't imagine the cost from a dealership. He also thru in a free service because he mixed my bike with another blue and white with gearbox problems and gave me the diagnosis for that one. He's a top guy and when I save up enough I'll buy him a beer.
