Right folks, am I doing anything wrong here. I'm trying to replace my clear front indicator lens on my 1150.

A simple job you would think, however they appear to made of chocolate. Every time I put the slightest pressure on it to get it in position to put the screw in the little plastic lug snaps.

Am I doing anything wrong as I have just ordered my third one and getting a tad annoyed now

Mine are easy.

Are they aftermarket clear ones?

I still have the BM orange jobs, just make sure the reflector is in place before trying to fit the lens, shouldn't require any pressure to fit.

It’s quite a few years since I fitted mine but if I remember rightly the clear lenses are not designed as a straight swap. You need to cut a little lug off first. It’s only small, check the clear one at the side of the orange one to see the slight difference.
Also, as already mentioned, make sure the reflector is fully seated before you try putting the lens on.

My clear lenses are genuine parts but the screws are a very tight fit. Last time I removed them I broke one of the lugs the screw goes into. I just glued it back with a little bit of araldite and then re-tightened very gently with some silicone grease on the screw and all is now well.
