indicator problem

[(RIP) night trunker]

my right indicator activates with out me pressing the switch,the wires to the indicator look alright,no twist or kinks in them,what else can i check?any help appreciated thank you.

This happened to me. I suspect it was water in the switch, as it happened just after I collected it rom the supplying dealer, and they had jetwashed it that morning.

In the end, I had to have the bike recovered, and a new switch fitted, which had it off the road for ten days. If you are in warranty, I suggest just calling BMW assist and having them take it off and fit a new switch on yours, too. If you can have them order the part first, you should not have the wait I did.
