I sometimes switch my indicators on without knowing that I have done it. This is normally only a problem in bright sunlight when it is virtually impossible to see the warning light in the instrument cluster. Does any boffin or clever person know how to wire-in an extra lamp that will flash when the indicators are on. This could be mounted up front somewhere and might be able to be switched off for night time use. I presume that the fancy electronics will make this difficult?

Bonjour.

You can get buzzers that .....err buzz when the blinkers are.....blinking.

I fancy one of those "This vehicle is reversing" doo dahs that lorries have. Switch it on when I'm fart arsing around in car parks getting the bike just so..... well you know how it is.

Did I mention I'm ill?

:(

On that note - I knew a girl who blinked a lot when her buzzer was on!!!!

But seriously I really don't want to be whacked-off (of the bike):D

They do self-cancel, but only after a set time or distance. Not sure which.
I also ride a Hardly Rideable FatBoy, which has super dooper "intelligent" indicators that self-cancel perfectly 99% of the time. I can also see if they are on when they reflect in the back of the chrome headlight. BMVV really should do better with the GS12, especially considering its fancy electrical system!

Harley again

The indicators on the Harleys are probably the most complicated part of the bike, measuring distance road speed and engine speed to the light off at just the right time, and like you said it seems to work fine 99% of the time.

Your Fatboy what model (year) is it and have you had any trouble with the rear right indicator snaffing off, I have the detachable (wait for it) sissy bar on mine (which spends most of its time detached) and therefor the indicators have been relocated this one has been snapping regularly I was on my 5th one by the time I got fed up with it and installed some cool bittet ones no problems since.

2003 FLSTFI 100th Anniversary model.

Only problem with the bike: Faulty alarm transceiver - replaced under warranty.
Its a great machine under 100 Kmh. Very solid and very expensive to buy the bike and genuine parts.

As an (amongst other things) ex "New Era" ZX6R racer and owner and stacker of many a machine and marque, I would recommend a cruiser style bike to anyone who wasn't anally retentive and was open minded.

I find the HD magazines, sent by HD, bollox. They promote a wanky "way of life" for owners to follow. Utter bollox. I have found that all of the vehicle manufacturers, from whom I have purchased a vehicle, send out wanky mags. I look forward to being "enlightened" by BMUU.
