Seeing as the standard XC indicators are absolute rubbish, has anyone found any good quality replacement alternatives, that won't snap off the first time you drop the bike on them?

Nope, I had a tail tidy on one on which I was able to position the indicators on an upwards angle out of the way and that worked pretty well (plus they didn't fill with mud).
For the others (until I get round to fitting another tail tidy) I have a few cheap pattern copies from China that I use as required.

I changed to use LED indicators from Rizoma. Expensive but never broken one and I've been off.....alot 
However, the Motogadget Blaze indicators are really good. Fitted to my wifes bike now. Internal prism to focus the VERY bright LED to where you need it. They are really small but its possible to get extensions if wanted.
