Infamous Sunday Newlands Run......To WALES!!

That was a mother of all races.........until Stoner went off the black stuff........:augie

Those two guys were something else............

:topic .......................yes I know ...............

Shadow and auto ..... you both missed a great day at Salisbury Plains ...:(

The place is a great place to build up confidence for off roading with big bikes.....the great thing is when I move to East Devon -it's about the same distance so I could meet you guys there........:thumb

Oh Welshy, what can I say, I've never even seen you get a bike wet before let alone muddy, well done Sir, wish I could have been with you :thumb (but upright of course :D)
I assume you will leave it muddy for at least 6 months now and dine out on the story of off road heroics? How are the Battlewings off road? :augie
Still OK for lunch on Saturday? :hide
:beerjug:

Pictures of Worthing's GS bath.........
If you notice that Thorium even though he was first to Worthing Welsh when he went in the water - refused to get his feet wet to help............

There are a couple of misconceptions in the previous posts, I will try to clarify things.

First, I am glad I got a tad bit of credit for for actually being the one helping mr Welsh right his bike, and in the process getting one my boots slightly wet. Unfortunately this unselfish act of bravery was not properly documented.

Second, as I moved around to the left river bank I was determined to face the current at the deep end (sharing Worthing Welsh' misfortune) and getting my feet wet. However, I thought my boots would stand a better chance if I took them off. :augie

Captain GSA and Worthing Welsh, please don't let the fact that your boots were more damp than mine come between us. This group has my standing commitment to always come to the rescue, and I can also offer help/guidance when it comes to choosing the correct path. (Hint: Sometimes the most efficient way does not require flotation devices. )

A couple of more pictures below:

Teamwork, that's what it's all about. :D (Somebody has to take the pictures)

Premature Dave, wandering around with his top box, wondering what is left of his digital camera.
We'll hand it to BMW, their top boxes are engineered to withstand falling off.
We just wished they were engineered not to fall off.

Captain GSA, with his Touratech camouflage manifold protector. Notice how well it blends in with the background.

Oooh........... does my grass look big in this?.....:ymca

I see Captain is practicing his walking on water - well the right foot seems OK at least...

The vid shows very clearly that other skills might need to be practiced as well - or is it just time for some off-road tyres? :D

Looks like you guys had a great day out!

DSC08065.jpg

Thanks again to the Captain for an excellent day out. Really enjoyed the tracks and the company. Left you to go back on the motorway as changing gear was difficult.
I'll get my pictures up tonight, though they are remarkably similar to what we've already seen but not as good as Millard's:bow

You may have noticed that i have dropped my deep Welsh valleys accent just so you guys can understand me, don't know why the other foreign chaps can't do the same, it must be a real bind for you English gentlemen, after all you did'nt have an empire for nothing.:augie

:D

Wi a bloke called Panos leading a group consisting of Gaulois, Worthing Welsh, a Nordy and a Jock it seems to me that premature Dave is the only one with the right to complain about foreigners,,,which he did,,,frequently :rob :D

Here are my 'efforts' (they're so familiar you're going to think I nicked everyone else's).
