firstly, I have done an intro and am not doing this to annoy mods and anyone else, just want some advice from gs owners having never, as yet, ventured into the bmw scene.
I recently got some new parts included that are gs related including 5 performance eproms for the 1100 1150 850 and the 1150 twinspark.
all this is from bos exhausts who also make decat pipes and straight through systems, according to the brochures I now have in my possession.
these brochures show photos and part numbers plus dyno graphs with the gains for the de cat and chip , but what I am trying to establish is any rough idea of value to them ,as although I have done a bit of searching and last night , spoken to another forum member who linked me to here,(ian from wootton bassett) I have only found a couple of places who sell them and they seem extortionate prices for them.
I genuinely am not trying to flog them on here as I have read the rules, just after some genuine comments from a forum that's hopefully got plenty of experience with these as I am more used to playing with jet kits on my own bikes .
these weren't part of my list to keep compared with the other larger more expensive parts I purchased, so just want some realistic advice on prices and possible demand if thrown on ebay etc, to help offset my costs of the other stuff, even if they aren't worth much, its beer money:thumb2

Due to the type of motorcycle it is, people who buy one are not looking for improved performance. You are never going to turn it into a GSX. Its charm is the way it delivers its power. This makes your buyers pretty scarce. It not something that comes up often for sale so an average price is a bit of an unknown. There may be someone who has "surging" that they think can, and may, be solved by using one of these eproms, but the problem is well documented and there are other solutions about.
Best place I think would be on fleabay under "completed listings" either on the UK or USA ebay sites.

Performance chips are old hat......................

Power commanders, remaps and even temp-sensor-resistors have overtaken them.

Sure - if someone sells an old aftermarket exhaust, with suitable chip - the buyer may just fit the chip, but otherwise................ nope.

That's all I wanted to hear guys, thanks. I realise that a lot of newer stuff is out there, but not knowing the bikes too well I wanted some opinions. I will do eBay / gumtree / etc and see what happens. From my angle, if these help enough to improve things for cheap money , say I duno, £30 , then it's got to be worth a punt. If they did nothing they wouldn't have made them , so must be half useful?
