hi guys

anyone used a Inforad K1 on a bike?

i know there is a M1 available for bikes but was wondering how good a K1 would be?

It's all right - but you would need to mount it in its holder - then add an elastic band to make sure it didn't jump out.

Or - velcro it in place.

It isn't waterproof, and you would need to mount it in your line of sight.

For a very simple solution - fine.

Thanks for the info mate :)

Have been trying to figure out getting it's piezo output into an Autocom - one thought is to use another (resonant) piezo (v cheap from Maplin) direct to the Autocom box

Elsewhere it has been suggested putting the K1 in a weatherproof enclosure along with an insensitive microphone to feed the Autocom

Quite a bit about the KI on http://www.pocketgpsworld.com under Hardware based GPS SCD Systems
