After having the bike for a little over a year, I finally got my act together and fitted cameras to it. I thought I'd create this thread because I ended up taking quite some time researching on the web in general trying to decide which system to go for and then where would be best to mount the cameras. In my mind, partly because the bike is still under it's warranty but also because I knew I would want to power other accessories in due course, I opted to run it through a Hex Ezcan.

After much consideration I decided to go with the Innovv K7.

I apologise that I didn't take any pictures of the actual fitting but there was nothing out of the ordinary with regard to the routing of the wires and the position of the Hex under the pillion seat. It is a bit cosy under there with all the wires, so removing the pannier rails and the silver trim tail section makes life a bit easier.

Here's some pictures of the mounting position for the cameras and a still of the view from them.

Rear Camera. Slightly blurred but mounted on the underside of the Givi rack.

Hope that helps anyone in a similar position.

I should add thanks to A Bike Thing for the massively helpful video "Strip your R1250 GSA down with confidence screw by screw". Also on You Tube GSD321 for some helpful ideas even though he has a GS rather than a GSA.

That looks really good. Well done you for fitting etc. One imagines you are pleased with the entire set up ?

Cheers Rusty. Yeah I am really pleased with it. Obviously If I could have got the front camera mounted without that slight view block it would have been better, but short of fabricating/modifying a bracket that was as good as I could get without risking the stability of the camera.

In due course I'll look at doing a bracket, but for the time being I'm happy.

Thanks for suggesting that. I had seen it but unfortunately it won't fit with the headlight protector that I have on my bike.

One thing I forgot to add is that the remote for the K7 is mounted, as Innovv suggest, on the nearside mirror using their bracket that is provided.

I've routed the wire for that with the cables etc from the handlebar switches until the tank and then routed it under the panel that's on top of the tank. An easy job to remove it.
