Installing a Motorrad Concepts Rear Hugger

Thank you for sharing this. i am plannig to install yellow one on mine and these pictures will be usefull.

Top article :thumb but 2 points I would make that IMO are VERY important with this hugger is to check the rear wheel will spin freely when the bike is on the c/stand before you take anything apart & also when you`ve fitted the hugger. On mine the brake line was pushing the caliper ever so slightly off and so the rear pads were dragging, a few people have noticed this. Also check the clearance between the brake line & the machined alloy arm as if it touches the arm anyware the brake caliper doesn`t sit square & so causes brake drag.

Which is why we published this: http://www.motorradconcepts.com/Techsupportfaq.htm

Later versions have a revised alloy arm.....

Fitted one of these yesterday on my brand new grey 1200 gs, perfect fit, no problems with clearance as new mounting bracket gives about 2mm clearance away from brake hose, all in took about 20 minutes to fit and looks the dogs danglies.
Only problem, why are GS bits so damn expensive ?.

I look at it this way, if I buy a quality part, exhaust, engine bars, hugger , panniers etc when I come to sell the bike I can remove those bits & sell them on easily & for a good percent of what I paid for them. So really they`re not expensive! (thats what I tell myself)
