Instrument Cluster Illumination failing

I think that the illumination for my instruments is on its way out.
When the auto illumination kicks in during periods of low light, the lower LH portion of the central info panel (below the fuel gauge) stays dark. I know that its not the end of the world at the moment but it will be annoying if it spreads to the whole panel. Does anyone know if there is a bulb(s) inside the instrument cluster that can be replaced or is it a sealed for life unit therefore non maintainable.
Panel is OK in normal daylight.

It will be LED's and not bulbs. it probably is repairable but only by a skilled solderer as they will most likely be surface mounted and tiny

I'm sure I saw a thread about this over on Advrider but I've just got home from work and too knackered to bother looking for it.

IIRC you can remove the cluster, unscrew the faceplate from the reverse and then sort the internals, but I could be talking bollocks as usual.

It could be a cracked solder joint. Fixable with a magnifier and suitable electronics soldering iron.

I've had a similar problem. I took the gauge assembly apart and the 2 main clocks are LED-illuminated, IIRC at the centre of each, these work perfectly on mine. The OBC panel though is somehow lit internally within the display - mine sometimes illuminates, sometimes doesn't, it'll even go off mid-ride.
I guess it's a dry joint within the display somewhere but beyond what I'd be able to repair. I'm learning to live with it ... back to counting gears up and down, but I might seek out a specialist sometime and see if I can get it repaired at reasonable cost.

Mine's been like it for about 3 years. Looks like a lot of bother to fix so I'm happy to leave it well alone.
