Hi all.

Has anyone had experience with getting insurance for motorbike travel in Tunisia.

Going over there for a couple of weeks in May, but Bennetts don't provide cover for it.

No an answer but are you taking your bike if so how are you getting there , looked a couple of times to ride there ???

No idea as I've never been but is it one of those countries where you get vehicle insurance at various booths as you enter the country? Quite how good they are is anyones guess...unless it is for actual travel insurance covering you riding a motorbike in Tunisia (I don't know the answer to that one either)
Maybe some info or links here

We are taking two days to ride through France, then ferry from Marseilles. We are sailing back to Pompeii and then six days ride back up to Rotterdam.

Thanks for the link. I haven't done a lot of research yet, but I feel that I will probably end up getting there and then sorting something out locally. We are staying in a hotel in Tunis close to the port for a couple of days, so can park up and ask around for advice.

This, though it’s from 2016:

Maybe this:

This:
  • MOTORBIKE INSURANCE: If you plan on riding or in Tunisia, you MUST have motorcycle insurance that covers Tunisia. Make sure to confirm with your insurance provider if your insurance covers Tunisia. If it doesn’t, you have two choices. Either get one before you leave or you can get one at the point of arrival.
In our case, we compared costs and found that it would cost us less to get insurance at the port in La Goullette. The insurance cost us the equivalent of 20 Euros.
