I know its been done to death but for any newer GSers pay attention. My renewal from CN fell in the door at €577. I called them but was told it was the best price & there could be no drop in it.. I got quotes from adelaide & quinn's which were much cheaper :thumb2. I called CN back and hey presto they dropped by €140 . Moral of the story is that since ms nash sold her brokerage (fair play to her) the new owners are having a laugh in the Irish market. Be aware that if you dont shop around they will put sand in your vaseline. :D:D:D

got mine yesterday, Quinn 499.85 CN 475.60 good result :) and you get european recovery from CN. ( not that i will need it ) :augie

paid mine this week renewal from cn €538,rang around aon €589,adelaide €496,quinn €420 all fully comp.rang auntie carol again and after some haggling quoted €420 !!!!!!! so why do i still feel iv been SHAFTED?

I know what you mean lads, also there seems to be a huge varient of quotes - try this I was quoted 388 fully comp by Quinn, 680 by Aon and wait for it....1375 by Carole Nash. Which do you think I went for??????

Quinn

I got my "invitation to renew" from Quinn @ €498.26 ,fully comp, for a late 08 GSA. Rang them and got them down to €450.00 ,pretty happy as last year it was €600.00.
Policy also states "free breakdown assistance" but waiting for full policy docs to clarify!

My fecking insurance from Quinn went up this year, now at €773 or something like that! I didn't even crash, do any mods, get younger, or do anything else to possibly increase my risk.

The bike is a '04 GS, got a full license, loads of rider certs, a dam restricted fitted and yet the insurance companies are try to anally rape me!

My quote from CN came in last October at €602. I rang them and told them Quinns were quoting me €345 ( Fib !! ). After a bit of haggling aked me would I renew for €340. Something very seriously wrong when they can drop the price by €262 in a matter of a five minute phone call. Time for people to refuse to accept these ridiculous quotes. I wish Insurance Companies could :stopbeing

I'd like to stop getting screwed by the insurance companies but it reaches the point that I either accept one stupidly high quote or put the bike off the road...:nenau

Don't forget AON when comparing prices.€411.00 for the two bikes 1200 and 1150 also breakdown cover included.thats full no claims.

Mate of mine a couple of years ago had a Fireblade insured with Hibernian. He was paying €900 odd a year for insurance. He bought an R1 and rang Hibernian for a quote for the second bike and was told his premium would double. Someone had given me a slip of paper with AON's phone number on it and I suggested he give them a ring. he was quoted just over €500 for the Fireblade and an additional €45 for the R1, their logic being that he could only ride one bike at a time. He jumped at it and I slagged him that it could possibly be underwritten by Hibernian. He got his certs and sure enough, both issued by Hibernian. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. He was allowed to have four additional bikes for €45 each.

Just got my insurance in £203 fully comp on the GS and the RT with sidecar got this from NIG ,underwriten by Devvitt Insurance , no excess , How does this compare for up here . 43 single , 8 years no claims , garaged and alarmed .
Geno .

Aon are always the cheapest for me, and I always go 3rd party. Cost €350 this year, but I can also drive any bike that's not mine, very handy!

Although sickening when you go to http://www.gocompare.com/ the english price comparison website, with my exact same details I could get fully comp for under £100! And that's using a postcode from Luton

Auntie Carol quotes €670 for cover on 4 bikes.
A rival in Belfast quotes €550 for similar cover including recovery but not from Europe for ROI customers.:nenau
I phone auntie Carol today discussing the quote but not the recovery restriction.
Her staff member checks with a supervisor and comes up with €535.
Not a bargain but if every phone call I made saved me €135 I'd be using the phone more often.

Got renewal from Aon €776.49 fully comp. So I phoned Auntie C Nash and they quoted €662.09.. Then phoned Adelaide they Quoted €568.96.
These quotes are all based on 07 1200 gsa and 1990 Honda cub 90.
Fully comp, breakdown cover, legal expensis cover. No claims protection cover.
Phoned Aon and they reduced the quote to €656.00.
Dont know if there is much point in phoning Quinn..
