Hey Guys,

just wondering is there any other insurance companies that look after the south of ireland apart from quinn,Aon and carol nash.

I remember someone saying that there was a another company around.
hope someone can shed some light on the matter for me.

cheers guys.

Axa but only if you have a car policy with them

i have no car - but i do have me Bikes insewered with Axa. :nenau
they seem to be at the deeper end of the gene pool when it comes to knowing their business. :thumb2
Quinn do seem to be the cheapest (though most clueless) for a single Bike policy.

an 'Aon' (Axa) or 'Quinn direct' assessment can reduce the premium quite a lot - P.M me for details if you want - i'm an Assessor. :D

Just renewed with Adelaide.
€337 comp on 08 GSA and 04 DRZ.
2 penalty points and 4 years no claims.

+1 for Adelaide €300.00 fully comp with medical cover.:thumb2

Marc, I didn't know you were a cross dressor:D

Cross dressor, kitchen dresser, occasional table sometimes...
so, now you know what 'occasional tables' do the rest of the time. :augie

''''

thanks guys,

adelaide it is then,
from 1015 euro with my current insurer to 400 with adelaide.
I know who ill be choosen.

thanks for the info.

Just beware that Adelaide don't have a European breakdown assist (just
in case you decide to travel).
As for Quinn, they may be cheap but wait til you ask them to pay out.....

..

I changed from Adelaide to Carole Nash for that reason. AA Breakdown cover for Europe can cost €150

I can't understand why Adelaide can't offer it with their policy, even for a nominal extra charge.

like all the irish market insewerers  each company 'cherry picks' the assumed (it is NOT properly assessed by an Actuary! ) best risk, from their limited perspective. Then offer basic budget quotes that dont attract additional admin which soaks up profit.
"We" Tossers are a relatively safe bet.

While I.B.T. - our version of C.B.T. has critics, it will level the playing field - producing properly measured competence.
Thus young and inexperienced riders should  get fairer quotes.

...although this will probably take a generation to show results. :blast

337 i cheap for 2 bikes

adel want 750 for me with a africa twin, 2 points and 3 yr ncb

I received my renewal from Carole Nash, €371. I called Adelaide and told them i was quoted €249. They countered with €240, but no breakdown cover. Carole Nash called me back and after haggling we settled on €260 including breakdown cover and riding other bikes.

When I had to use the breakdown cover earlier in the year, they were excellent so happy to use them again.
