Insurer cant find bike on system?

So, just tried to get my new bike insured..

Th current broker., cant find the bike on the system

R1200 gs TU. so because it's not on thee system they wont quote, and have referred to an under writer which could take 4 days!

Any bike savy insurers out there?

I went to my broker , to swap from old bike to new, as it's not on the system, they have had to refer it to the big bucks/raping department for a quote

I can't believe you are struggling to get an R1200GS insured?

if you look on MCN Compare, they have a generic R1200GS ADV without any suffixes 2006 onwards in the drop down box - I guess that is their coverall for any model not otherwise specified.

Just select that and bin the existing broker.

Its not a GSA its a GS ... and you have to put whats on the Reg doc , otherwise the old didnt give the correct information get out clause applies

Not so sure.
Mine came up as 2016 1200gs.
No mention of TE spec just generic 2013 gs. Onwards
Now the insurance company have the registration and it picked it up from their database.
They would struggle not to payout.
The ombudsman I would hope would rule in the customers favour.

Well just got off the phone to Flux, all done , all accessories declared, got hit with a bit of an upsell but tbh i can live with it

Interesting though the Triple Black TC is more expensive to insure than the newer LC

Jeez has my bank account taken a hammering !
