Intake Valve Replacement

I have an 07 g650 challenge. The front nut that holds the front of the seat down fell into the throttle body and went into the intake valve. Thankfully it didn’t make it into the cylinder, but I’m pretty sure it bent the crap out of the intake valves. Engine turns over but won’t start and backfires like crazy.

Any advice on replacing the intake valves? Anything weird about the 650x? What parts will I need? Where’s a good place to buy parts online.

Have you carried out a compression check?

A few years back I had an engine where the valve chain jumped (I think due to tensioner issue) and bent the valves. I priced up the bits incl gaskets and decided to swap out the engine instead.

Parts fiche were a good source of info,the one online at maxbmw is good.

I have a few spare engines if required, both new and used. PM me if needed.

WHY bent? Was it running at the time ??

Did you have the throttle body off? It should have landed on the throttle plate and never made it to the inner parts !!
