Just been alerted to the following. Looks interesting and good value so possibly a bargain for someone.

Looks to be a K reg frame fitted with an R100 engine running a monolever rear end. Interestingly it looks to be running a tubeless rear wheel on a monolever. Andrew Sexton mentioned that this was possible to me many years ago but it's the first time I've seen it.

Would make a great rallye bike.

Over to you - be quick before the Shoreditch bunch snap it up and do something horrible to it!.......

Its a monoshock frame like an R80 or R80 RT but never was a GS

Its definitely a nice Modification job Not a bad price for it either

but why run a tubeless rear but have a tubed front ?

Probably because it's a lot harder to convert to a tubed front tyre with upgraded forks. Only option that springs to mind would be the front end from a Caponord which IIRC ran some flavour of WP forks?

The more I look at this bike the more tempted I am but I've got too many oil powered toys to support at the moment:(

Did you notice the extended monoshock back end??? "NOT" that I would try to influence you :aidan

Sure the easy way to do the front end is a pair of GS para forks

Yeah but that won't work with an extended swingarm - I noticed:) Someone has spent a lot of time and money on that bike!

Ahh Maybe Not an extended swingarm just painted silver

Odd that!

How come GS para forks not work with Extended Arm then I have seen a few done that way?

They'll fit but with a 100mm extension to the swingarm the forks won't be long enough and the geometry will be all wrong!

The photos aren't good enough to see detail but that a paralever rear wheel mated to a standard mono bevel box. Looks to be some kind of Heath Robinson affair to the mounting side of the wheel. The mono road bevel box sits too deep inside the paralever wheel so you have to do some machining to get it to fit. I'd love to know how he got round it.

Forks are japanese.

Looks like a real lash up to me. Doesn't sit well at all with the back end dragging.

what are you supposed to do with something like that?

Looks like a dog's dinner. I'm sure someone thought they'd done a good job.

And it's a shit colour!

a bargin you say :hapybnce:

thats hideous with a capital H

1. Repulsive, especially to the sight; revoltingly ugly. See Synonyms at ugly.
2. Offensive to moral sensibilities; despicable.

that is bad , perfect example of waiting and saving up a bit more i think and in the mean time get a transalp :D

I really like it. Someone has spent some time doing a conversion, but hasn't got to a fully finished product. I disagree with Peepingtom. Use what you already have. It would be a good base for someone to finish. Its a hell of a lot better than some of the scrambler conversions I've seen. Here's another example of an R80 mono conversion that's further along. It does have an extended swingarm. Not mine BTW, so I won't be offended by any comment. Has already done a RTW.

I recon I could do something interesting with this one, has the basic making of a good bike.lol:D

Looks like they just put the whole front end from the donor bike.
The forks need shortening, either with spacers or cutting the stanchions. The available travel has been reduced by pushing them through the top yolk anyway.
Maybe the tubeless rim was too wide, with the disc, to fit. I kept the tubeless rim on my WP Extremes. Just needs spacers turning up.

Hmmmm Motoforms tank....

Re. 4 stud wheel on monolever bevel - isn't this what Richie Moore does by grafting paralever bevel internals into a monolever housing?

Whats going on the drive side of the other bike, there seem to be a couple of extra tubes in there. Anyone got a photo of the other side?

Tony has braced the extended swingarm because he noted that it flexed. Also there is a final drive breather there. The photo below is an earlier iteration of the bike with smaller tank, running amal carbs, & pre final drive breather.

I see the ebay bike has also put in a final drive breather.
