Hi all,
I ride a 2005 R1200GS and usually after a cold snap or if left standing in the rain, will be in gear when I switch on the ignition, even though I parked it in neutral. I will often then have to let the clutch out and then depress it in in order for neutral to be selected. Sometimes this isn't possible so have to pull off in 2nd. It then sorts itself out after a few miles.
I've also had false readings on the LCD stating I'm in a gear that I'm not in or just going a bit bonkers running through the numbers (think Superman 3 after Richard Pryor has messed with the computers).
It doesn't affect my riding other than an occasional worry, but I'd rather not have that worry.
Any ideas what it might be?
Cheers
Phil
