Clean the battery connections Had this happening on my GS too

Looks like it was loose connections on a couple of the relays under the seat. Mind you, I didn't find that out as I've sold it to a mate who is very knowledgeable about bike electrics - it was due to be sold anyhow as I've bought myself an F800GS.
