Intermediate driveshaft

Hi
I require a new Intermediate driveshaft for a 1996 1100GS as i understand there are three different variations of this shaft, can anyone tell me how i can identify which type my bike is fitted with ! The reason i ask is to make it easier for me to identify the right model on E-bay for example.

Thanks John ! I missed that in the first post when i was concentrating on identifying the no gears problem.

Hem has a lot of info on airheads and oil heads. Too much to take in for me sometimes
