Intermitant power loss autocom

I have been suffering with intemitant power loss on both my Autocom, and the power supply to satnav (at the same time). I can not find any problem / loose connection etc. the power comes and goes whilst out on a long ride, however, if I pull over to examine under the seat for any loose wires, I find nothing wrong. Switching the engine off and then back on again sorts it out (at least for the short term)

The items are both dealer fitted. however being non-electrically minded, I am not sure where / what they are wired in to. could this be a battery problem ?

It was the last but one software upgrade that screwed it up. There's allegedly a new one which solves the problem.

Is the software just "shutting off" the power then?

What is the sugested treatment then? Back to the dealer for software upgrade (at cost)

Yes, that's essentially what's happening. If you're bike's still under warranty, software upgrades should be free and even if it's not, I think it should be possible to argue that the last upgrade caused a fault which needs to be rectified.
