I'm going to dob it out at £3 a squirt to the primary school kids in Wapping Lane. Set them on the road to solvent abuse and make a bit on the side....

Try using the hand cleaner with the granules in it. Does the same job

many thanks to all who posted advice

got said fastener out with the allen key/really big hammer/brute force technique. the offending bolt was knackered anyway!

a skinned knuckle and some naughty words were also used................

Another "if all else fails" option is to cut a slot across the face of the bolt (using a hacksaw or a cold chisel). Then treat it like a conventional screw with a straight slot (which is what you have just built) and screw it out.
