Hey guys, need a little help here. Im a lorry driver and am usualy away for 2 or three weeks at a time.I have a laptop that I use in the house ie plug it into the modem and away i go but wen im away in the truck all i use it for is to play dvds but thats getting a bit boring.Wot I want to do is be able to connect it to the internet wherever i am really just for surfing websites and emails.Havent got the faintest idea wot to do or wot i need and i dont really understand jargon very well so If u computer experts out there can advise on start to finish it would be appriciated. Dont kno if it makes a difference but somtimes im parked up in a truck stop sometimes in a layby in the middle of knowhere.Im totaly a rookie at the computer thing. PS looking for a new laptop aswell if anyone can advise on that to ,cheers

see if this meets your needs.

"3" do a similar deal too. i think it's only £10 per month.

I have the equivalent of the Vodafone offering but with o2, the reason I plumped with them is as well as 3GB per month of data over their o2 mobile broadband service it also includes unlimited WiFi access to the cloud network (the largest public WiFi network in the UK). When you connect up it first looks for a free WiFi connection then if there's none offers to connect to o2.

Warning - currently none of the mobile broadband packages whether 02/Vodafone/3/T-mobile represent good value, casual browsing will soon eat up your bandwidth and then it gets expensive once over your monthly allowance.

I have mine as an emergency connection so I can connect for business if I get a call I have to respond to, definitely not for casual use, unless I was on the cloud. In summary go to McDonalds for a coffee or your dinner/breakfast and browse there for free :thumb
