Uploaded / downloaded my Windows updates, and there amongst it is a free upgrade to IE7. Have some of that, I thought.

It's got a different look and feel, which is OK - I'll get used to it.

But - the feckin' screen keeps scrolling down - or up - automatically.

Anyone know where I go to turn this annoying 'feature' off?

Many thanks.

Neil.

Do you by any chance have a Mouse with a scroll wheel that's probably caught on something.?
No,,, Sorry then I can't help you.!

I have I.E. V7 also, but not the "Feature" you describe.

i believe you can uninstall it in add/remove programs in the control panel.

use firefox.

Fixed it!

I found a solution from a Google forum that solved the problem for me:

Start.
Control Panel.
Mouse.
Choose the Buttons tab.
For "Scroller", set to the following: Check the box labeled "Use MS Office compatible scroll only." Also, check the box labeled "Scroll in active window only."

Works fine after making those changes.

Cheers,

Neil.
