internet explorer

Can anyone help me? I have windows xp and When I double click the internet explorer icon instead of opening it pops up a box with runtime error and program:c:\programfiles\internetexplorer\iexplorer.exe. This only happens on one account all others are ok. Outlook express opens up ok but when you try a link to the web it pops up with the runtime box again.
I'm not very good when it comes to the pc so any advice much appreciated.

i did a quick google on your error message & spyware is one suggestion.

try spybot.

gotta run....mrs cookie calling

Have tried but to no-avail. will try the repair shop. cheers.
