Interphone F5 MC

Hi everyone
Can anyone help. I've just bought a Interphone F5 MC. For a change I followed the instructions which suggest I check for software updates before I do anything else.
I duly followed the instruction to visit there site and download a small program which I guess will interface with main unit and check for updates.

Problem is I use Mac and the download is a .exe file for PC not Mac. I've done the usual search on the net but found nothing.

Has anyone in GS land had the same problem.

Just purchased a pair of the same for our works bike club. Also had a look at this and I am in the same boat with a mac so will drag out the old laptop to see if that will work.

Have you tried emailing the firm?

I emailed the firm and received an instant reply saying they were very busy and to expect a reply in 2-3 weeks. I too tried a old laptop PC but with little success.

Will try again when I have a little more time.

Ok, binned the first downloaded program and started from fresh. Plugged F5 into USB port as instructed, "do not turn on". Programe couldn't find F5 using basic settings, it then suggests use advanced option. Software found F5 and processed to update firmware with no probs. did the same with second unit, perfect.

So my suggestion to anyone having probs doing firmware update.....use advanced option and follow in screen prompts.

Thanks for the advice Gazza, I'm going round to a mate who has a PC laptop on Sunday so I'll follow that option.

Question: Have you noticed any difference since the update?
