I'm upgrading from the F4 to the F5, just wondering how many on here use the F5 and if its any good. My F4 has had a couple of issues so is being replaced under warranty, they will upgrade it to the F5 for £50.:thumb

Before I open it up and install it, I wanted to get some feedback from other F5 users, and see if anyone's had issues connecting to other riders?:nenau This one is marketed as the best to connect to other riders, but is it?:blagblah

I've also looked at the Cardo option, but the Interphone seems to come out on top, but are there any others worth considering?

Bought a pair in June after doing a load of reading...had various bike to bike setups over the years....spent many hours fitting/fixing em too...

F5 took about 20min to fit in each helmet...Ferking brilliant.....woks straight out the box.....clear speech at 80+....lasts about 8 to 9 hours on a charge...paired to wifes set and to my phone in seconds...get anything up to 1.5 mile range, more on occasion....
Probably the best money I've spent for biking...:thumb2

Great to hear you're pleased with it.:thumb Any issues using it in the rain (leaks etc.)?

Sounds very encouraging! I'm just on the verge of splashing out on a system. I've got a schuberth C3 and I know they do the acoustic collar for it which is incredibly neat and tidy, however I've heard of more than a few issues with them so as an alternative I've been looking at a pair of F5's for me and the missus. Might just have to take the plunge!

Have used it on several wet rides ...including all day through france..which was torrential :D...no problems at all...(you do get a little tube of silicon grease to help seal the plugs) :thumb2

Would buy same again with out hesitation :thumb2

That's good to know.:thumb I've read several reviews of the alternatives, and given myself a headache.:blast:D

This is all rather interesting as I'm looking at changing my wired system for a Bluetooth jobbie.

One of my local dealers who stocks Interphone steered me towards the f4 but when I said I neded 'bike to bike' he said I needed the f5. Problem is he won't stock the f5 anymore as when he did he 'had nothing but problems'. He'd rather lose the sale than sell me an f5.

The other option I'm looking at is something called a Sena? No idea what they're like, a little more rooting around to be done.

I'm led to believe that I need to steer well clear of Scala Rider.

I've got an F5 as do 4 of my mates. We don't always ride together and when we do it can take a while for us all to get connected to each other. Also sound quality and distance seem to decrease with added headsets which is the opposite to what it says on the box. New, the battery life was 10+ hrs but now has dropped to about 8. Another point is that its always a surprise when I receive a phone call as there is no ring - the first you are aware is when the other person starts talking. It is however the best system I've tried so far.
