This months RIDE is showing an "INTARIDE XL INTERCOM KIT" on its NEW GEAR page.

Has anyone had any experiance with this kit?

Does it work and is it anygood?

Im interested in Bike to Bike radio kit, although AUTOCOM seems highly recomended it is very expensive and has many additional features Im not interested in.

INTARIDE seems reasonably priced and they say that you can return the goods within a week if not satisfied.

See web: www.intaride.com

Thanks for any information about this system

In my experience, they work fine, the range on them is fairly limited - but are excellent if you're not riding in any built up areas.

I started with an Intaride unit as it suited me at the time, but like most things in life, you progress. So, whilst an Intaride system might suit you now, it may be false economy not to consider the Autocom kit, which in my opinion is a great bit of kit.

Have fun.

But I dont ride a BMW! I ride a VFR!

What am I doing on this site?

Well my mate has a GS and this site is good just like the VFR site.

Intaride

I have an Intaride kit (two actually) and they are a small, well made bit of kit that fit easily in a pocket. They have all the functions required for bike to bike use and work well within their limitations i.e. about 3km MAX range, range deteriorates with speed, and over 60 mph you need 'in-ear' plugs. These limitations are not just with intaride but with all PMR446 radios.
I'm very happy with mine, but am saving up for an Autocom because they use powered speakers which boosts the useable range.
I believe the Intaride radio will work with an autocom so the upgrade need not involve buying te Kenwood radio supplied by autocom.
